I used to be there- Test Expert

Life isn’t always like what we expect. Even when we plan it carefully and thoughtfully.

By someway and somehow, I used to be a tutor at an English center. I started there as a content developer for their TOEIC program just because I’m in need of money and of proving myself not being useless, and that I can earn for my living right after I finished my study at FTU. Then, after 2 months created the material, they asked me to stay and give me the tutor position. The difference between tutor and teacher is that tutor will in charge of class with less than 30 students while teacher will take care of bigger classes. For me, It was  a surprise and a challenge as I was not trained to be a teacher, my major was International Business, not pedagogy. Finally, I accepted their offer as I wanted to try. When I was a child, there were some teachers I did truly respect so I’d love to take this chance to become that  model, even just a short time. I didn’t plan to be an English teacher but a Economics professor ( not for now but later 🙂 ).  I have my first bosses there, I worked with a teacher that I admired, coz she’s talent and beautiful, although sometimes she acted like a bitch (it’s her word, not my word). I had chance to stand on the stage, train 3 courses with many kind of students, some were about my mother, my aunt’s ages.  I received their feedback, some good, some bad: friendly teacher, she’s so cute… need to improve teaching method… Some unsatisfied with me. I read all there comments and tried hard to change and adapt to the situation.

6 months, we have both fun and tough time. 6 months, it’s a long time for me to go around as gap year but a short time to work with you. All of you, big boss, Q.A, chị Ngọc, chị Trang were so kind and so generous to me, I did learn a to from you.  I have never told you these things, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank for being a part of my first journey to life, thank for being a part of my unforgettable experience as a tutor. Hope that, one day you can read these words. (I’m so shy that I won’t send this to you, guy.)
